Come, Follow Me - Service Principles for January

All of you know about the new curriculum for youth Come, Follow Me that is being used in your Sunday School classes as well as YM/YW. It's a great new program that helps emphasize class discussion, personal study, and following the spirit in your learning.

At lds.org/youth you are being encouraged to use the principles that you learn in those classes to help you live the 2015 theme found in D&C 4:2 of serving God with "all your heart, might, mind and strength."

As you think about this, what comes to mind? Is there a specific friend or family member that you feel could need a greater understanding of who God is? That God loves them? That they are His child?

You can find many scriptures and resources that will help you gain a greater understanding of Heavenly Father and strengthen your own testimony of Him. Study and pray for that testimony. As you do, this will help you to be able to reach out and teach others from personal experience.

So, think about it. How can you help others to learn about Heavenly Father?
And if you have an experience in doing this, please share!

Favorite Things Friday: Crispy M&M's Are Back!!!

Can you guess what I'm thinking about today?
Hahaha.

It's true my friends. Crispy M&M's are back and I just can't get enough of them!!
These are one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE candies!

I've been deprived of these chocolatey crisps for much too long.
And it's times like this that make you realize just how much you love something.

So if you see these at the store, snatch 'em up!
Seriously.

You won't be sad.
Happy Friday.

3 Easy-to-Use Journaling Products

Journaling is something that can seem overwhelming. The trick is finding what works for you! Maybe your BFF can write novels each night in her journal but you're stuck at "Dear Diary." Take a look at the following ideas and see if one of them fits your style and personality.

Before I share these 3 products that I love, I must note these are products that either I have used myself or that close friends of mine have loved. I am not being paid to write about them...I really just love them and wanted to share!!

Happy Journaling!

Chatbooks

Do you use Instragram? If so, Chatbooks is a really easy way to print your IG photos and captions. If you download the free App and create a subscription to Chatbooks, you will automatically be sent a new Chatbook every 60 pictures for just $6 each book and no shipping charges.

One Line a Day: A Five-Year Memory Book

This fun journal from Urban Outfitters is a simple way to include five years worth of journaling in one book! Each day has five sections - one per year. What a fun way to look back at what you were doing a year ago or more! And even though the cost is $16.95, it's not bad considering you'll be able to use the journal for the next five years!

May Designs Notebooks

For a customizable notebook you can find a great little option at May Designs. You can choose the cover pattern, add a monogram, and choose what calendar or pages you want inside. This is a great option for journaling because you could write a little snippet on the calendar of what you did that day or perhaps a longer entry on a weekly page. The prices seem to start around $19 and change according to what you customize.

"Play Me, I'm Yours" - Piano's Around the World

One thing you probably don't know about us, is that we love the piano!
Our mom had one major rule growing up: if you lived under her roof, then you took piano lessons.
That means we all had a few years of hating it...
but then we grew to love it and enjoy it!

So when we heard about this awesome movement called Play Me, I'm Yours
we couldn't help but share!

It's led by Luke Jerram, an artist who wanted to get free pianos in places around the world for people to enjoy. And they really are everywhere! London, New York, Sao Paulo, Barcelona, and more! (You can check out their site to see if there is a location near you!)

Most of the pianos are painted bright and fun! Anyone can stop by and play a tune from beginners to concert pianists, really anyone!

We love that this allows people to share music. To have fun with music. And bring people together :)
Check out some of the fun videos we found from around the world!

In New York:

In London:

Do you play the piano?
What's your favorite song to play?

Read the Book of Mormon in 2015!

Oh man.
School starts back up today.
The fun holiday break is over.
Such a bummer. Am I right?

To help you get back into the groove of things
(especially in regards to reading your scriptures)
we want to share an awesome group called Book of Mormon 365
that you can follow on Facebook or Instagram!

Each day they post a pic:

And those are the scriptures to read that day!
By the end of 2015 you will have read the entire Book of Mormon!!!
What a great way to get reminders and keep up on your scripture reading!

......And if you're thinking that since 2015 already started you'll be way behind, not true!
The pic above is today's reading so you'll just have to read the first 3 chapters
of 1 Nephi to catch up. See? Not bad at all.

So join us in the BofM 365 Challenge to read your Book of Mormon in 2015!
